Meet Dr. Nikol Wells, ND, LMT
As the founder of Wells Integrative Medicine, embedded within the Roosevelt Chiropractic and Massage practice, I am dedicated to offering personalized health care guided by naturopathic principles. I provide complementary and primary whole-person healthcare in a collaborative and supportive environment with like-minded medical professionals.
In 2018 completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Health Sciences at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. I then spent the following 6 year’s completing Bastyr University’s Naturopathic Doctoral degree program in Seattle, Washington. My medical education included 4 years of didactic classes, 1,200 hours of clinical training and over 120 hours of preceptorship. In Washington state, NDs are trained and licensed as primary care providers (PCPs), equipped to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of health concerns. I also have a clinical interest and specialized training in digestive health, acute and chronic pain management, and autoimmune diseases. During my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, filling numerous roles for my patients depending on their current need.
Outside of medicine, my interests include sustainable living, gardening, and finding a sense of rootedness. I feel most at peace among the trees and on a mountain peak. Recently, I’ve also been exploring circus aerial arts like duo trapeze, which harkens back to my years as a competitive cheerleader and gymnast!
My Approach to Naturopathic Medicine
I take a holistic approach to healthcare, guided not only by the therapeutic modalities I reach for, but also by the core principles of naturopathic medicine.
As your healthcare provider, I try to understand you as a whole person —considering physical, emotional, and environmental factors that influence your health. I try to empower individuals to take an active role in their health. Inherent in my training as a Naturopathic doctor is disease prevention and patient education, both of which I am passionate about. By fostering a collaborative doctor-patient relationship, I strive to restore balance and promote long-term wellness, with a strong focus on identifying and treating the root cause of illness rather than merely managing symptoms. At its heart, naturopathic medicine is based on the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal itself once we find the root cause and give your body what it needs to be brought back to balance.
